26 and 27-What Day?

Flag Day, of course!!! Well, It 's my fourth year participating in this important activity for St John. Truth be told, I was very excited the day before. And it proved to be like as I expected!!!

~First Day~
Well, I was assigned to Team E, which consists of 8 to 10 members(including a team leader and assistant leader). Our first stop was somewhere in Farlim. Well, it was just 7 something and the air was still cold. And there weren't a lot people there at that time. We kinda split into pairs of two. My partner was two years younger than me, so I kinda acted as the head(hahahaha) , deciding where to go, etc. To collect more donation, we left our first spot and traveled down and away from the place. Well, our efforts weren't in vain, but it wasn't fruitful either. EITHER WAY........the problem was, the two of us kinda lost our way when we wanted to go back. (Both of us couldn't identify directions....). Finally our last resort were to call our leader(well, it wasn't our last resort....) and relying on our instincts, managed to 'crawl' back to our meeting point.(hahahahahahahaha)

Next at 12, we had lunch there before taking the bus to town. Yay~
Noon proved to be less tiring and more comfortable...? Anyway, we agreed to scatter again and soon we were on our own way. My partner and I went to the old shops and kopitiams nearby across the road in hope of increasing our collections. It wasn't too disappointing though. Well, if you discount the hot sun, the negative response of 'some' people, our experience of nearly chased by a mad dog.....and more.....it wasn't soo bad....(or so I said.) ANYWAY....at least our spirits were still blazing. Later we got back to the meeting place. Feeling tired, we decided to rest there for awhile and collect donations. I met some of my old buddies from PTHS . So happy!!! They were still someone I knew, luckily. We talked and I got to know things and happenings. We promised to meet up again and get the chance to have a looooong chat. Well, we can save that for next time!

At 5, we regroup[ed and headed to our final rendezvous place before heading back to headquarters. I was totally worn out, and slept at 8.

~Second Day~

The second day proved to be the same, only that I could see stifled yawns and watery eyes(from everyone there) as I went to report to the leader. First stop-Air Itam!
Well, I could only say the market is packed!!! And flooded with other St Johns too!!Our rivals from other schools were there too!!!!Gyah~~~~~~~~~ We ate breakfast there and collected some donations before taking the bus ride to somewhere near my current school UHS. There we split into groups of four and traveled separately. Well, due to some reasons, and I don't know why, I became the leader AGAIN.The rest of my teammates were either one, two or three years my junior. And so once again I 'courageously' took up the responsibility of taking care of my juniors. Along the way, I acted and gradually became their 'mother' (or babysitter). One of my juniors even xalled me big sister or mum, Am i that old?!!!

Later we reached Times Square. Our meeting place. But the other four haven't arrived yet. So we took the opportunity to rest and sight-see. There was a food carnival at the moment and a kompang competition. It was my first time watching this type of show, and I was amazed and thrilled!! It was a great experience, despite the short time. Later they arrived and we kinda rest for a long while............

At noon, we heade for KFC for lunch. The pain in my head grew gradually and finally exploded after luch, It was too excruciating, the pain I mean. Later we split again. Finally I couldn't take it anymore. I called my leader and told her I had to go home. After assigning everything to my partner apologetically, I rang up my father and went home. Sigh....It could have been better......

Well, I REALLY hOPE we win this year!! We have put in our best effort!!

Awakened

Hi there! It's been a long time since I blogged. Apparently I was beginning to give up on writing, feeling that writing wasn't the thing for me. But later, as if fate(or God) had turned its wheel of magic, I realized my passion for writing. It hit me, that writing will always be my passion. Just like the title, my passion had been awakened.

Anyway, the main thing is I've started reading P.C.Cast and Kristin Cast's book, Burned. Although only halfway through, it was really interesting(I realize interesting isn't the suitable word) and the plot continues attracting my attention, as if it doesn't want the readers to even pause(quite true, actually!)

Even without finishing the book, I was already anxious and thrilled for the birth of Awakened, their 8th book. I've checked online and discovered that the next book would be released next year, or to be more precise, 4th January 2011. Yay!!!

Plus, a film adaptation based on the first book of the series, Marked is being planned and will be released also in 2011!! Three cheers!!!

Well, I'm off to continue my book now! Bye!!!
